MY PASSION FOR BOOKS

I have always been an avid reader, ever since I was a very young kid. Mum and Dad always read to me; I remember some of the first books Dad read to me before bed - The Day of the Triffids (John Wyndham), Apollo 13 (The junior novelisation) and The Hobbit (J.R.R Tolkien). I owe him a debt of gratitude for never worrying about reading me 'age appropriate' books and by starting me off with such amazing classics, he instilled in me a voracious appetite for fiction. Combined with an ability to speed read (also inherited from Dad) and a bookworm was born!

So this is my book blog - welcome! I will be posting reviews of all the books that I read; good/bad, long/short, classics/brand new fiction. You will find no book snobbery here - I honestly will read anything and everything with an open mind - 'Never judge a book by its cover'
